Mississauga Multilingual Fringe Festival Kick-Off – SAWITRI Theatre Group

SAWITRI Theatre Group’s Mississauga Multilingual Fringe Festival 2025 is back for the 5th consecutive year, bringing a variety of new theatre productions. The Kick Off Event happening July 26, 2025 at 7 PM at Small Arms Inspection Building is the opportunity for each production’s cast to pitch their shows to their potential audience ahead of the festival. The Kick Off provides an exciting glimpse of what’s to come at the 5th Annual Mississauga Multilingual Fringe Festival (MMFF) from 11th to 24th August, 2025.

There are a total of 12 productions at the MMFF 2025. Week 1 is at the AN1 Studios and Week 2 is at the Sampradaya Theatre. At the Kick-Off event, the cast from each of the 12 plays featured in the Mississauga Multilingual Fringe Festival will take the stage, each with a strict 2.5-minute limit to pitch their show.

Guests will see the line up while enjoying refreshments. This is an opportunity for audiences, agents, and other theatre producers to meet actors, directors, etc. and get more involved in the local Mississauga theatre community, which is predominantly South Asian for the MMFF 2025.
