The Mississauga Chamber Singers looks forward to its presentation of Vivaldi’s Gloria RV 589.
HG Robbins Landon says this Gloria is possibly the most accessible and immediately comprehensible of all Vivaldi’s sacred music –’the Four Seasons of its genre’.
The choir is joined by soloists and orchestra in this performance of one of Vivaldi’s most popular vocal compositions and one of the most regularly performed vocal works from the Baroque era.
Also on the program is Vivaldi’s ‘Kyrie in G minor’ for double chorus and double orchestra and JS Bach’s ‘Lutheran Mass’, Missa in F Major, BWV 233.
